Poor little Lumi! The innocent baby monkey lay on the dusty ground, his tiny body twitching and squirming in pain. Swarms of angry red ants had found him, crawling all over his soft skin and delivering painful bites. Lumi let out heartbreaking cries, his voice echoing through the trees, as he tried desperately to brush them off with his small, helpless hands.
He looked around with teary eyes, searching for his mother—his protector, his comfort. But shockingly, Mama Monkey stood nearby, watching coldly without making any move to help. It was as if she didn’t hear his cries—or worse, didn’t care. Her distance hurt just as much as the ants’ sharp bites.
Lumi cried louder, twisting and turning, rolling on the dry earth trying to escape the biting pain. He scratched at his arms and belly, his baby fur now covered in red marks from the bites. A few older monkeys passed by, looking curiously, but none stepped in to save him.
The sadness in Lumi’s eyes told a story too painful for words. Why did no one care? Why didn’t his own mother rush over to carry him away, to clean his wounds, and comfort his pain?
Eventually, exhausted and defeated, Lumi curled into a tiny ball. The ants had scattered, but the damage was done—inside and out. His body was sore, and his little heart was broken.
A baby should never suffer like this. Little Lumi only wanted love and protection, but in that terrible moment, he felt completely alone.
Let’s hope his mother comes to her senses soon, because Baby Lumi desperately needs the care only a mother can give. 💔🐒
