Poor little monkey Polino had a really bad day. From the moment he woke up, things didn’t feel right. He was hungry and tried to get close to his mother for milk, but she was already stressed and didn’t want to be touched. Polino kept following her, reaching his tiny hands toward her belly, but she pushed him away each time. His small eyes started to fill with tears, but he didn’t give up.
Later, as the troop moved to a new spot, Polino playfully tugged at his mom’s tail, trying to get her attention. But instead of playing with him, his mother turned around, grabbed him roughly, and slapped him hard. Not just once — but many times. The loud sound of her slaps echoed, and Polino cried out, confused and heartbroken. Other monkeys turned to look, but no one helped. His little body shook as he sat down on the grass, sobbing quietly.
Polino didn’t understand why his mom was so mad. Maybe she was tired, maybe something upset her, but he was just a baby, and all he wanted was love. He tried again to come close, crawling with his head low, showing he was sorry, but she hit him once more. His cries became softer, more broken.
In the corner of the troop’s resting area, Polino sat all alone. No comfort, no warm touch. Just a broken heart and tear-stained face. His bad day wasn’t because of mischief — it was because he didn’t get the love he needed. A small monkey, punished too much, on a day he only wanted to feel close to his mom.
