Little Daniela, the baby monkey, had a very hard life from the very beginning. Unlike many other babies who were warmly cared for and comforted by their mothers, Daniela’s days were filled with sadness. Her mother monkey, tired and impatient, often pushed her away instead of holding her close. Whenever Daniela cried for milk or comfort, instead of being nurtured, she was met with scolding or rough treatment. The poor little one could not understand why her own mother did not show the same love other baby monkeys enjoyed.
Life became even harder when the big monkeys in the group noticed her weakness. They would often chase her away, snatch the food she tried to eat, or even push her down. Daniela, still so tiny, had no strength to fight back. She would crouch quietly in a corner, her eyes full of sadness, watching the others play freely. Her small body looked fragile, and her heart longed for care she rarely received.
But even in her misery, Daniela showed courage. Each day, she tried to approach her mother again, hoping that maybe this time she would be accepted. She followed the big monkeys at a distance, learning little by little how to survive despite the unkindness around her. Deep inside, she carried hope—hope that one day, her mother’s heart would soften, and that the troop would see her not as a burden but as part of their family.
Daniela’s story was heartbreaking, yet it showed the quiet strength of a little soul fighting through sadness. Though bullied and rejected, she kept enduring, waiting for the day love and warmth would finally come her way.
