God help! The forest was silent for a moment before a loud cry echoed through the trees. Pregnant mama monkey Berry was in terrible pain. A big, aggressive male monkey had attacked her suddenly, biting her shoulder and pulling her fur roughly. She tried to escape, clutching her belly protectively, but the male’s anger was too strong. Berry screamed, her frightened eyes wide, as other monkeys watched in shock but dared not interfere.
Berry’s body trembled. The pain was unbearable, and fear for her unborn baby made her heart race even faster. She stumbled toward a tree root, seeking a safe corner to hide. Her wounds bled lightly, and her breath came in short, weak gasps. The big male monkey finally moved away, still showing his teeth, warning others not to come close. It was a cruel display of dominance, and poor Berry became the helpless victim.
Minutes passed, and the troop slowly gathered around her. Some young females peeked curiously, while one older monkey tried gently to touch Berry’s arm, as if offering comfort. Berry looked exhausted, curling up and hugging her belly tightly. Her eyes were full of tears, whispering in silence for help—help from heaven, help from anyone who could stop her pain.
The jungle breeze brushed her fur, carrying the faint sound of her whimpering cry. Nature can be harsh, and even a mother expecting new life can face cruelty. Berry’s spirit, however, was still strong. She licked her wound slowly, refusing to give up. Somewhere deep inside, she seemed to pray for safety—for herself and her unborn baby.
Pity her, poor mama Berry, hurt but still holding on to hope under the watchful sky.
