In the quiet morning light of the forest, little orphan Lizza was searching for leftover fruits near the old fig tree. She moved carefully, always trying to avoid trouble, because the forest could be unpredictable for a young monkey without a mother’s protection. Although she was small and shy, she had learned to survive on her own—with courage, patience, and the help of a few friendly monkeys, including gentle Caca.
But today, danger arrived unexpectedly. A large wild male, known for his rough and territorial behavior, appeared from the upper branches. He had been roaming restlessly, claiming every food spot he found. When he spotted tiny Lizza near the figs, he leapt down with a loud, threatening call. Startled, Lizza froze for a moment, unsure of where to run.
The male rushed toward her, pushing her aside in his attempt to scare her away. The impact sent Lizza tumbling to the ground. She wasn’t seriously injured, but the shock and fear were overwhelming. Her small body trembled as she cried out softly—calling for the only monkey she trusted: Caca.
Caca, who had been foraging nearby, immediately recognized Lizza’s voice. In a flash, she hurried across the branches and arrived at Lizza’s side. She gently checked the trembling orphan, grooming her carefully and wrapping her arms around her. Caca made calm, reassuring sounds, letting Lizza know she was safe now.
With Caca close, Lizza began to breathe normally again. Her small cries faded into soft whimpers as she pressed her face into Caca’s chest. Though frightened, she felt comfort return.
The forest slowly grew peaceful once more. And even in a world full of risks, Lizza knew she wasn’t alone—because Caca would always come when she called.
