In the early morning light, the forest was unusually quiet, as if all the trees were holding their breath. Little BB sat on a low branch, his tiny hands gripping the bark while his bright eyes explored the world. Suddenly, Mummy noticed something strange. BB was chewing slowly, his cheeks puffed out, and he made a soft, uncomfortable sound.
“Look… what is the mummy doing?” the moment seemed to ask.
Without panic but with clear concern, Mother moved closer. Her eyes focused on BB’s mouth, and she gently reached out, trying to see what was inside. BB squirmed a little, unsure why his playtime was interrupted. To him, everything was a game. To Mummy, everything was about safety.
Carefully, she tilted his chin and used her fingers with surprising gentleness. The forest drama was quiet but intense. Was it food? A leaf? Or something dangerous? Baby monkeys are curious, and curiosity often leads them to trouble.
At last, the mystery was revealed. Inside BB’s mouth was a small hard seed, shiny and smooth, picked up from the ground. BB had tried to taste it, not knowing it could hurt him. Mummy quickly but calmly removed it, holding it up for a moment as if scolding the object itself.
BB cried briefly, more from surprise than pain, then buried his face into his mother’s chest. Mummy hugged him close, rocking him softly. Her job was not only to feed and carry him, but to protect him from the hidden dangers of the world.
Soon, BB was calm again, his tiny fingers clutching her fur. The forest returned to its normal rhythm. This small moment showed a big truth: a mother’s love is always alert, always watching, and always ready—especially when danger hides in the smallest places.
