The mother monkey wants to get rid of the stubborn baby but she feels helpless and desperate

High in the tangled branches of the forest, the mother monkey sat quietly, her eyes heavy with exhaustion. The day had been long, and her body felt weaker than before. Clinging tightly to her chest was her baby—small, stubborn, and endlessly demanding. The baby cried again, pulling at her fur, refusing to calm down. The mother turned her head away for a moment, as if hoping the noise would fade on its own.

She tried to move, to climb to a safer branch, but the baby would not let go. Every step felt heavier. In her heart, the mother felt torn. Instinct told her to protect her baby, yet fear whispered that she might not have enough strength to survive while carrying such a demanding little life. The baby did not understand hunger, danger, or exhaustion. It only knew its need for comfort and milk.

The mother gently pushed the baby away, not out of cruelty, but out of desperation. For a brief second, she hoped the baby would stop crying and sit quietly. Instead, the baby screamed louder, reaching back for her warmth. The sound pierced her heart. She froze, unsure of what to do next.

Other monkeys watched from a distance, but none came closer. This was her struggle alone. The mother’s eyes softened as she looked at the baby’s tiny face, red from crying, eyes filled with trust. She felt helpless, trapped between survival and love.

Slowly, she pulled the baby back to her chest. Her body trembled, not with anger, but with fear of losing everything. Though she wanted relief from the burden, her heart would not allow her to abandon her child. In that fragile moment, the mother understood that even in desperation, love still held power. She stayed, holding on, hoping tomorrow would be kinder.
