Tiny monkey Rainbow was mis-treated by step mummy Libby

Tiny baby monkey Rainbow was born into a world that should have been full of love and care, but sadly, her early days were marked by rejection and pain. Her biological mother was no longer able to care for her, and so the responsibility fell to step mummy Libby. At first, many hoped Libby would take Rainbow in and raise her with warmth, but it became clear very quickly that Libby had no intention of being kind.

Little Rainbow, still weak and fragile, tried to snuggle close to Libby, seeking comfort, milk, and protection. Instead, Libby pushed her away harshly, showing no maternal affection. Sometimes she even bit at Rainbow or swatted her tiny hands when she reached out. Witnesses to the heartbreaking scenes could see the confusion and sadness in Rainbow’s big round eyes. All she wanted was a chance—to feel safe, to be accepted.

Each day, Rainbow grew more afraid. She cried often, with a soft, desperate sound that touched the hearts of everyone who watched. Her tiny stomach remained empty for long hours, and she was often seen lying quietly in a corner, too tired to move, her small body trembling from cold and hunger.

Libby, meanwhile, went about her day without a care. She groomed herself, climbed trees, and played with other monkeys while poor Rainbow watched from afar, never invited to join. The loneliness Rainbow felt was almost too much for such a small soul to bear.

But in the middle of all the sadness, there’s still hope. A kind caretaker noticed Rainbow’s suffering and began spending more time near her. Offering soft fruit, gentle strokes, and soft whispers, the caretaker gave Rainbow the first taste of real love. The tiny monkey slowly began responding—still weak, still heartbroken, but with a faint spark of trust in her eyes.

Rainbow’s journey is far from over. She still needs time, nourishment, and care to recover from the emotional wounds left by step mummy Libby’s rejection. But even though her beginning was painful, her story is not over. With compassion and continued support, there’s a chance this little monkey can still grow into a strong, joyful soul—despite the mis-treatment she endured.
