It was to teach a lesson to her disobedient daughter

Under the golden light of the late afternoon sun, Mother Lila watched her young daughter, Mina, swinging recklessly from branch to branch. Mina was bold, curious, and full of energy—but she rarely listened. That day, Lila had warned her many times not to wander too far from the safe trees near the riverbank. The forest was wide, and dangers often hid behind its beauty.

Mina, however, laughed and leaped even higher, ignoring her mother’s steady calls. She believed nothing bad could happen to her. When she reached a thin, fragile branch at the edge of the grove, it bent sharply under her weight. With a sudden crack, the branch snapped. Mina barely managed to cling to the trunk below, her tiny heart pounding with fear.

Lila rushed to her side but did not immediately scoop her into her arms. Instead, she stood close, watching carefully as Mina struggled to pull herself up. It was not cruelty that held her back—it was purpose. Mina needed to understand the consequence of ignoring guidance. After a tense moment, Mina found her strength and climbed back to safety.

Only then did Lila embrace her trembling daughter. Mina buried her face into her mother’s chest, realizing how close she had come to real danger. Through soft but firm gestures, Lila reminded her why rules existed—not to control her, but to protect her.

From that day forward, Mina still loved to explore, but she listened more carefully. She understood that her mother’s warnings were acts of love. What had seemed like strictness was simply a lesson wrapped in care, a moment meant not to punish—but to protect.
