In the warm morning light, the troop settled along the edge of the forest, grooming one another and searching for breakfast. Among them was a young mother monkey named Mira, carrying her playful baby, Leno, tightly against her chest. But today, something unusual bothered her—something tiny, strange, and annoyingly sticky. A little piece of tape had somehow gotten stuck on her side, clinging stubbornly to her fur.
Mira twisted and turned, trying to reach it with her hand, but the tape only tugged harder on her delicate hair, making her flinch with irritation. Leno watched curiously, tilting his head as he sensed his mother’s discomfort. He reached out with his tiny fingers, trying to help, but the tape stuck to his hand for a moment, causing him to squeak in surprise and shake his little arm wildly until it fell back onto Mira.
Agitated, Mira moved around the tree, rubbing her side against the rough bark, hoping it would peel the strange object away. But the tape held firm. She let out small grunts of frustration, attracting the attention of an older female nearby. The elder approached calmly, understanding instantly what was wrong. With gentle fingers, she began to inspect the sticky intruder.
Finally, with a careful tug, she managed to lift the tape off Mira’s fur. Mira sighed in relief, her tension melting away at once. Leno clung to her neck, chirping happily as if celebrating the victory.
The elder examined the tape, puzzled by the human-made item, before dropping it far from the feeding spot. Mira gave her a grateful nudge and resumed grooming her baby, now calm and at peace.
A tiny piece of tape had caused big frustration—but in the troop, help was always close.
