Baby Maxwell was just a few days old, still learning how to hold onto life in the big, unfamiliar world. With tiny hands and wobbly steps, all he wanted was the warmth and comfort of his mother, Maddie. But sadly, what should have been a safe bond between mother and child was being tested. Maddie, for reasons unknown, continued to reject Maxwell each time he reached for her milk.
